I’ve seen Jeph update the Questionable Content Comic page with twitter, which in turn inspired me to also include a twitter widget on my blog. You can find the twitter widget here.

You can set up twitter so that you can text 40404 and then the text message will be posted in your twitter.

Then, if you have a wordpress blog, you can download this twitter plugin which will automatically post to your twitter account whenever you publish a blog post!

Finally, if you’re a facebook junkie like myself, you can use this application to sync your facebook status updates with your twitter updates.

In summary, with the compilation of the above, whenever you text 40404 with a text message, that message will appear on your twitter, which in turn will be reflected on your facebook with this facebook app. Then with the wordpress widget, whenever you publish a blog post, that will also show up in your twitter, which in turn will show up in your facebook status update.

I have been a fiend for salad lately.  A while ago my mother inspired me to make my own salad mix after I had some broccoli in one of her salads.  By itself, cold, uncooked broccoli is disgusting to me.  To make matters worse, when the broccoli is uncooked, that is when most of its nutrients are preserved (the more it is cooked, the less nutrients it is left with).  I have the same feelings towards the taste of carrots (I would rather eat them cooked as opposed to uncooked).  I have found however that diced broccoli, carrots and other vegetables, covered in salad dressing and mixed together comes out to be quite delicious.

Blu Ray rant:
I recently ordered Independence Day and have owned for quite some time Terminator 2 both on blu ray.  I have to say that the quality of ID4 and T2 are both grainy and rather shitty when comparing them to blu rays for recently released movies such as Iron Man, Casino Royale (Daniel Craig), American Gangster, etc.  In other words, if you buy a blu ray version of a movie that was released more than 5 years ago, the picture quality of the blu ray will not be as good as a blu ray version of a movie that was released in the last 5 years.  The quality of the cameras used for filming as well as the medium in which the movies are stored greatly influences the resultant picture of the blu ray version of the movie.  The T2 and ID4 blu rays, are slightly better than upconverted DVDs.  Whereas the picture quality for recently released movies on blu ray, such as Iron Man, seem a lot more detailed and crisp (and suffering less interpolation effects) when being shown on a 1080p TV (ie significantly better looking than upconverted DVDs).

Snow Wolf pointed out to me that in a recent PA Post, Tycho announced Tycho and Gabe will be doing another set of D&D Podcasts.  Recording for this venture began this past Thursday.  Hopefully we’ll see those PA D&D Podcasts sometime later this coming week.

I noticed while perusing my wordpress installation today that this post is post #100.  So I figured that this post should be somewhat special.  So what else to post about than my favorite martial arts movie fight scenes!  I ranked what I thought were the top 5 fight scenes of all time.

I don’t remember who linked the first Fear of Girls video to me, but after watching it, I strangely became addicted to the series.  Sometime later they came out with the second video, which I think is my favorite in their entire series they have released.  The third installation of the series (part 1, part 2 and part 3) actually came out today.  I thought it was entertaining, but I think the second one held my interest a great deal more.  You can visit their Youtube website and Facebook page for more material related to their productions.

In other news, Ronald Jenkees has announced his second album (here’s samples of his first – click the play icon next to the song title) will most likely not make his originally speculated December deadline (which was delayed from Summer).  This third delay, while a disappointment, is still something I will happily deal with as I would rather the album be late and awesome as opposed to early and mediocre.

Finally, I wanted to share with everyone the Auditorium demo that I saw Tycho link in a penny arcade post.  This demo dazzles you with gorgeous music and lights in which you create while challenging your mind to solve puzzles.  I’m really looking forward to more levels in which I hope the makers of this demo release soon (or a full version of the game).
