Blog Post – Finally

Friday, May 30th, 2008

I am making a submission to the upcoming IGARSS 2008 conference and my efforts towards that submission have consumed a ludicrous amount of my time as of late. Therefore, my blog posting has taken to the back burner.

But lately, a bunch of awesome trinkets have surfaced on the internet. First, Tycho and Gabe are working with Wizards of the Coast to publicize the upcoming DnD 4th Edition. They actually played a game of DnD under the 4th edition rules for over 8 hours. The best part is they podcasted the entire game – broken up into several sessions. You can download the first of those podcasts (in what’s to become a series) here.

Also, Gabe and Tycho hosted a podcast where they record themselves while developing this comic.
Both are hilarious and awesome; I really enjoy their conversations and humor.

Also, this comic made me laugh to the point of almost crying.

In other news, I recently published to the CITSA 2008 conference. I will be presenting there sometime in early July. I have been accepted for publication in the upcoming IGARSS 2008 conference. I will have more on that in late June.

Links for You!

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Sorry for my lack of posting the last couple of weeks, I’ve actually been keeping pretty busy and kind of neglected my blog. So it’s time to play catchup. One of the primary purposes of this blog is to serve as a medium to whore links across the internet, crucial links which contain must see content for you as deemed appropriate by Nick.

I saw <this video> linked by Jerry and Mike at PA.

My best friend Frank linked <this video> to me.

I know this one is old, but I love when PA does WoW comics!

In other news, this past May 7th was my 26th birthday. I did pick up my arthritis medicine and walker from the Hospital. Being over 25 isn’t cake you know. I had to walk uphill, both ways and in the snow (the snow with hot coals) barefooted, to get that medicine from the Hospital.

My friend Bryan said this in response to this youtube video:

Just because you “can” be an idiot doesn’t mean you should.
